Start your day with yoga! The first half of the class incorporates gentle stretching, followed by more active and awakening postures during the second half. This is a great way to feel revitalized and happy all day long. This class is great for beginners and students of all levels.
This class is a gentle blend of simple but effective hatha yoga postures combined with a conscious breath. Gentle Yoga is mostly floor postures such as yoga stretches and twists. Experience stress release, increased flexibility and achieve a greater self awareness. This class is great for the beginner.
Vinyasa is a more active flowing yoga, where one posture flows into the next. Using breath and posture together, a flow is created to raise the heart rate, promote weight loss, and increase flexibility. Basic knowledge of the postures is useful. This class is open to all levels; however, if you are new to yoga, starting with gentle yoga is recommended.
In this class you will experience the basic types of breaths used in yoga, such as:
Deep Abdominal Breathing
Holding vs Pausing
The energy aspects of breath, pull & push
Sounding Breath
Cleansing Breath
Energizing Breath
This class is taught seated and is similar to a meditation class as we focus and practice the breathing techniques. These yogic breathing techniques are the simplest excises that one can do to release stress energy and are easy enogh to perform anywhere at any time of the day.
